This half of a duplex house with its own garden and pool enjoys a quiet and sunny location. The house is around two kilometres from the centre of Kastav and six kilometres from the centre of Opatija. On two floors with a living space of 200 m², the holiday home offers plenty of space for eight people. All rooms are well maintained and furnished with modern comfort. The combined living / dining room on two levels is 70 m². It has air conditioning, a fireplace and a comfortable seating area and has modern entertainment electronics with flat screen TV (satellite TV), CD and DVD player. The living room leads directly to the terrace.
The elegant dining area for eight people is right next to the open kitchen. This is equipped with four hot plates, oven, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, electric coffee machine, toaster and kettle. The four bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the top floor of the house. There are two bedrooms with double beds (180 x 200 cm), one with a French bed (160 x 200 cm) and a fourth room with a king size bed (140 x 200 cm). Cupboards with enough storage space are also available. The first room also has an exit to the 9 m² balcony. The two bathrooms are equipped with a tub and toilet. A third bathroom with shower, washing machine, dryer and toilet is on the terrace. This bathroom was added in 2015. All bedrooms have also been newly furnished and have mosquito protection on the windows. The house is equipped with a heater that can be used for a fee if required. On the stairs to the upper floor you will find stairs protection for small children.

The 900 m², fenced property has a 700 m² garden with lawn, plants and an orchard. In front of the covered terrace (24 m²), which is equipped with a table and garden chairs for six people, is the heated overflow pool (included in the rental price) with sea view (6 mx 4 mx 1.5 m) and a massage bench, that provides fun and cooling on warm summer days. The pool is available from May 2nd to October 17th. The pool has a sun shade and the access to the pool is child-friendly and can be locked with a tarp. Of course there is also an outdoor shower by the pool and six sun loungers including bath towels await sun worshipers. The Sundance Spas whirlpool with 4-5 seats, Bluewave Spa Stereo System, Clearray, lighting and waterfall (included in the price) also invites you to linger. Furthermore, there is a 20 m² pergola and a grill at your disposal. In addition to the grill under the pergola, there is a seating area for eight people. Your children can have fun on the playground with a swing and trampoline (2.5 meters in diameter). Or how about a game of table tennis? The garden has an automatic irrigation system and the entrance to the guest car park has an automatic gate opener. The property with parking space is completely fenced. The parking spaces are by the house on the property.

Two high chairs and a baby bed are available for younger guests. And of course there is also a free WiFi internet connection in the house with an internet speed of 11.5 mbs
The piano is a special highlight. It stands next to the living room and invites you to play music in the evening.

There are shops and restaurants within a radius of 600 to 850 metres. It is three kilometres to the nearest supermarket and five kilometres to the nearest beaches (pebbled and concrete) and the seaside. In the nature surrounding the little town of Kastav you can go jogging or cycling. The town is also known for its international events such as the Kastav Summer of Culture and the guitar festival.

    “Das Haus war wie angekündigt in einem super Zustand. Der Pool war genial und dass er mit einer Türe gesichert ist, war ebenso eine super Lösung, speziell da wir noch mit einem kleinen quirligen Jungen unterwegs waren und so entspannt sein konnten, dass er nicht ins Wasser fällt.

    Die Vermieter haben uns, da wir spät angereist sind, ein sehr schönes kaltes Abendessen vorbereitet mit einem köstlichen Wein aus eigenem Anbau.

    Der Grill ist ebenso eine super Gelegenheit hier den Abend bei gutem Essen ausklingen zu lassen.

    Für die Kinder war eigentlich alles vorhanden.

    Die Aussicht war super, die Zimmer sehr schön und auch die Bäder ausreichend für 2 Familien.

    Alles war wie im Prospekt und noch viel schöner.”

    “Empfangen wurden wir von den Gastgebern sehr herzlichst mit Kuchen und Kaffee. Wir hatten ein überaus sauberes Haus vorgefunden, wobei alles was in der Annonce und den Bildern angegeben wurde bei weitem unseren Erwartungen übertroffen hat. Wir kommen sicher wieder und können dieses Haus mit seinen netten Gastgebern mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Ist auch für Familien mit kleinen Kindern hervorragend geeignet.”

    “Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Elfin Mansion. Die Besitzer haben uns herzlich empfangen und Gemüse vom eigenen Garten und Wein von den eigenen Rebstöcken als Willkommensgeschenk überreicht. Es wurde uns alles sehr gut erklärt (Haus, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc.). Das Haus ist in einem sehr guten Zustand, man merkt, dass die Besitzer Sorge tragen. Die Ausstattung im Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Garten mit Pool ist sehr schön, wir haben die Zeit genossen. Der Pool wurde jeden Tag gereinigt! Die Besitzerfamilie spricht sehr gut Deutsch (auch Schweizerdeutsch), was die Kommunikation einfach machte. In der Nähe gibt es Läden und auch sehr gute Restaurants. Auch unsere Kinder haben die Zeit in Kastav genossen. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen und würden auch sehr gerne wieder einmal dort unsere Ferien genießen.”
